Research and Production Company ULTRACON-SERVICE at Polish Conference and Exhibition KKBN-2018

Increasing requirements for the quality and safety of industrial equipment, the need to check its condition without taking it out of service made the countries of Eastern Europe paying more attention to the non-destructive testing issues.Aimed at exchanging experience, discussions, studying of the latest methods and developments the local and regional forums are held. One of such events became the 47th NDT Exhibition and Conference in Poland – the KKBN-2018, in which, by invitation from our Polish partner PCB Service company, the representatives of the RPC ULTRACON-SERVICE as a part of OKOndt GROUP™ took part.

The event took place on October, 16-18 in the town of Kolobrzeg.

The engineers from our company brought 4 devices to Kolobrzegin order to hold the demo of the non-destructive testing process by the ultrasonic and eddy current methods:

UDS2-77 – the ultrasonic single rail flaw detector the designation of which is to assure the continuous rails testing.
Sonocon B isthe ultrasonic instrument that performs two main functions – the flaw detection and thickness gauging.
Eddycon C is a compact eddy current flaw detector for detection of discontinuities and manual testing of materials in various industries.
UTG-8 – the ultrasonicthickness gaugewhich ensures the measurements accuracy of up to ± 0.01 millimeter.

The Polish engineers and NDT equipment manufacturers showed much interest in the equipment produced by ULTRACON-SERVICE, a special attention was turned to a wide range of functions, as well as the possibility of customization to meet the customers’ requirements.

Along with the exhibition during the KKBN-2018, the information and discussion-related work was conducted. The conference attendees discussed modern requirements for NDT in transport, power, engineering and other industries, as well as the personnel training and certification methods, peculiarities of technical diagnostics of the devices, in and out of standardization and other vital aspects influencing the accuracy and reliability of NDT results.

A lot of products developed by the RPC “Ultracon-Service” cover hundreds and even thousands of kilometers before they reach the customer’s site. Transportation of the equipment is carried out by the overland or air transport. The equipment is thoroughly checked before shipment, and it is important for us to be totally sure that each device will be delivered to the customer in the same condition in which it left our site.
